Hanna Opening Sequence

Within the opening thriller sequence of Hanna it allows the viewer to know crucial information. From the very start we are shown the land in which they live is very isolated this is shown in a long shot. This isolation is enhanced by the ice and snow and again the showing that not only are they all alone but there life is extremely harsh and far more intense than necessary.This is all shown in the mise en scene. In the next scene we are shown a young girl, this seems a very inappropriate surrounding for a girl of this age however she then shoots a deer showing, like many thrillers, that it is not what the eye would first imagine.
The cut off nature of this very serial and Narnia inspired land is highlighted further by the lack on diegetic sound and thus sound in general, until the breathing a deer begins. This makes the audience feel very uneasy due to the intensity of this singled and amplified sound.
A girl than comes into the frame right in the centre this alerts the audience that this character will be throughout and is of great importance in the story. This method is continued in the whole of the opening, this as well as telling the audince that she is important but is also very strong in the setting and is of dominance.
This is again shown by the mise en scene of her cosutme as she sounds out  in the fresh, vibrant white snow.
The girl and moose then interact when she shoots it, the editing then becomes far more accelerated adding to the tension that has already been building in the shots previously.
Next sound we hear after them running is the howl of pain from the moose this is again very unsettling for the audience as the general public would find that cruel and thus this film is challenging the audience it sit it through and watch the film.
Later on in the opening the girl then speaks an array languages this adds to ample amount of questions that have already been constructed, or example;
If she is
